Gensis 1:2-4, “The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.
Before God created this universe, earth had no form and there was nothing in it except darkness. It was empty and it seemed as if there was no purpose or any future. But then God said “Let there be light”. Oh, and light shined in the darkness. And that light displaced the darkness. Not only that but He made this earth beautiful by creating, live animals, birds, oceans, waterfalls, mountains, flower and vegetations.
My dear friend, no matter how void your life seems to you, no matter how void your dreams to you, no matter how empty your life seems to you, but if the light of Jesus shines in your hearts and in your lives, He gives a new life, new purpose and a new shape to your life, to your dreams, to your plans. He will make you hopeful from being hopeless, useful from being useless. He says in His word in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jesus said in John 8:12, “Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."
When a person invites Jesus in his/her life, Jesus comes in and dispels all the darkness from that person's life and fills him/her with His life giving light. He gives a new shape to your future and to dreams. Are you bound by the darkness of sin and of addictions? Are you in the shackles of things which you are unable to break off? Come to Jesus, He wants to remove the darkness from every area of your life and to bring you in to that marvelous light.
He took all our sins on the cruel cross and shed His blood so that we could have forgiveness of our sins and freedom from our sins, guilt and addictions.

Once Jesus spoke a parable. There was a rich man who lived in luxury but he never cared about God or His word. And there was a beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, laid at his gate, in hopes that he will get some food to eat. He was in such a bad shape that dogs came and licked his sores.
One day Lazarus died and was carried by the angels to a peaceful and happy place. Then the rich man also died but he reached a place of torment. This rich man was in the flames, his whole body was burning, he was in intense pain and he desperately wanted some water to drink. He looked around and afar off he saw people and it seemed that they were very happy, water was in plenty, flowers were blooming, birds were singing, grass was green and to his utter shock the beggar Lazarus was also there who was no more in pain, who had no sores but his skin looked like a new born baby's.
And this rich man cried out, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus so that he may cool my tongue with one drop of water. And the reply came that it is not possible. Then he remembered that his five brothers also headed to hell fire. So he made another plea, please send him to my five brothers who need to repent and turn from their evil ways so that they may not come to this horrible place.
This rich man is not the only one who is desperate for one drop of water and crying day and night for it, but millions are crying out for one drop of water from hell fire. That is the reason why Jesus came in this world. That is the reason why Jesus became thirsty for you and me so that we could drink from the living water and never be thirsty so that we could repent and turn away from hell fire.
People go in to hell fire because their sins are not forgiven. One day we all have to die. When we die our body will die but our spirit lives on whether in heaven or in hell. Those who find forgiveness of sin through the shed blood of Jesus will go to heaven. My dear friend, if you have not yet found forgiveness of sin, you can come to Jesus repenting of your sins, He will gladly forgive your sins.
